Shin ‘Seraph’ Wu-Yeong

Shin ‘Seraph’ Wi-Yeong is a South Korean pro player that forms part of the NV LOL roster. He helps his unit win esports tournaments by taking on the position of top laner showing his fighting abilities with signature hero Kassadin and his favourite, Nidalee.

After moving to North America to play for CLG in 2014, the esports community became more interested in his game plays. The smart moves impressed spectators that streamed his solo queue on Twitch, with viewers well over 20K watching the tournament.

Where it all began:

One of his first video games he ever played in his younger days was Tetris. His passion into esports gaming started when Wu-Yeong’s friends encouraged him to try a really good game, League of Legends. Shin started his gaming passion in 2012 playing as a substitute for Najin White Shield for one game at the OGN match. He got to know that Counter Logic Gaming were looking for a new top laner and asked if he can tryout.

Since then he has strengthened his skills playing with teams like Team impulse, Renegades and presently with Team EnVyUs to hopefully reach his ultimate goal to win matches until he loses his passion for gaming.

The Team:

EnVyUs is an American esports association that was founded in November 2007. NV are famous as The Boys in Blue for their Call of Duty team that have proved their success in esports tournaments. Today EnVyUs supports different teams that compete in CS:GO, Gears of War, Halo, League of Legends, Overwatch and Starcraft II.

EnVyUs LOL

NV LOL team was created in May 2016 after acquiring the North American LCS spot from Renegades. From then on the squad have shone showing their true potential and will continue to achieve in future, through the current roster that consists of Seraph, LirA, Nisqy, Pirean, Apollo and Hakuho.

Competition Participation and Winnings:

The most recent LOL competitions attended by Seraph and his team EnVyUs were NA LCS Summer Promotion winning against Gold Coin United with the score 3:2. In 2016, NV got to compete against Cloud 9, learning from their mistakes in the match made the LOL unit step up their game.

Through his career he had the privilege to play for Renegades participating in the 2016 North American Summer Promotion beating Team Dragon Knights with the score 3:0, qualifying them for the Summer Split.

The greatest achievement for Seraph in his professional career was with his team at the time, Dragon Knghts was at the 2016 NACS Spring Split, finishing third to claim their amazing prize of $17K.
