Malthe ‘Biver’ Winther

Malthe ‘Biver’ Winther is a Danish cyber athlete taking on the supportive role for a leading esports team, Natus Vincere. He shows off his gaming abilities and strategies while playing his signature champions Lion, Visage and Oracle. His lifetime goal is to learn with dedication and having the willpower to succeed so that one day he will be the best support player in the world.

Biver admires and watches gameplays of many top esports players such as Kuroky, PieLieDie, PPD, Cr1t and Fly. In his spare time, Malthe enjoys watching movies of all genres, listen to music, eat pizza, loves playing chess, tennis and squash.

Where it all began:

Heroes of Newerth

Malthe was around ten years old when he used to watch his cousin play the first version of DotA and wanted to try playing the game himself. He also played for fun, Heroes of Newerth for four years which led him switch to Dota 2 to compete professionally with his first team, Ancient Warriors.

The Team:

Natus Vincere was established in December 2009 with the help of Arbalet whose contribution helped form their Counter-Strike team. The company stuck with a philosophy that helped gamers achieve success by playing as if they were born to win esports tournaments. Seeing the potential of esports growing, the company expanded to support units that compete in LOL, CSGO, FIFA, World of Tanks.

Navi Dota

Navi Dota 2 was created in October 2010 where their very first competition was at the International 2011. They squad won the final match defeating EHOME with a record of 3:1. The mentality to play like they were born to win still stands at present with a roster of talented players like Dendi, Pajkatt, General, Sonneiko and Biver.

Competition Participation:

DreamLeague season 7

The most recent tournament that Biver and NaVi have participated was the Major DreamLeague  Season 7, finishing sixth place to win $6K. Other events the team have taken part include the qualifying stages of the Epicenter 2017-CIS, Dota Summit 7, StarLadder i-League Invitational, The Kiev Major – CIS and the Dota 2 Asia Championships.

Winnings:

The highest reward for Biver and his team at the time, ProDota Gaming was at the World Cyber Arena 2016. The Dota squad finished in fourth place in the premier tournament losing to We Are Young to claim their prize of $28K.
