Dan ‘apEX’ Madesclaire

Dan ‘apEX’ Madesclaire is a French dedicated player practicing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. He takes on the position of the entry fragger for his unit, G2 Esports. ApEX is mostly known for his reliability and his explosive deadly kills which have been a threat to opposing esports teams. His training consists of playing Deathmatch and Boomeo, to improve his skills and consistency in CS: GO strategies.

Madesclaire is a funny and energetic person, bringing out good vibes among his friends. Outside of gaming, apEX loves to spend time with his family, girlfriend and his dog. He is a fan of the footballer, Messi and sides with Barcelona FC when it comes to football, watching matches and if he misses out he tries as much as possible to catch up.

Where it all began:

Dan was and still is a fan of the Spanish football club and watching professional footballers inspired him to become a pro player. Way back when apEX was in school, there were times when he would skip lessons just to play Counter-Strike Source. His mother was concerned about his gaming habits and may have lost it more than once but as time passed she realized how good he was at computer games.

Thanks to his mother’s discipline and encouragement apEX became the pro player he is today. He started his gaming career in 2009 competing in CS Source with the team gamedide. He played with units like 3DMAX, Team LDLC and Very Games. In 2012 Dan switched to CS: GO to compete for squads like Anexis Esports, Epsilon, Titan, NV and currently for G2.

The Team:

G2 Esports is a European gaming organization that was launched in November 2013, by Carlos ‘ocelote’ Rodriguez. With the headquarters based in Madrid, the association supports different teams that compete in League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Hearthstone, Rocket League, Vainglory and Smash.

G2 created their CS: GO team in February 2015. Since the beginning, the lineup has been through several changes to create the best group of top players that will bring good results in matches.The current roster includes French pro players shox, bodyy, NBK, apEX and KennyS striving to be the best in European esports scene.

Competition Participation:

ApEX and G2 have taken part in the most recent CS: GO tournaments, these include the EU Qualfiers of ESL One: New York 2017, PGL Major Krakow 2017, ESL One: Cologne, ECS Season 3, DreamHack Tours and DH Austin. The top teams G2 have competed against include Fnatic, Flipsid3, Faze Clan, Hellraisers, Gambit, Heroic, Optic Gaming among many other teams.

ESL 1 New York 2017

Apex achieved the majority of tournament successes playing for Team EnVyUs. Most notable is DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca in 2015. The professional squad defeated Navi with a record 2-0, taking their first prize win of $100K.

Winnings:

The greatest win for apEX was at the World Electronic Sports Games 2016. While playing for NV, they defeated Team Kinguin with the score 2-0, taking the Championship title to win the highest reward of a stunning $800K.

Dan’s second great win was at the ESL Pro League Season 5 finals held in June 2017. Apex was competing for G2 Esports in this event, beating top team North with the amazing record 3-1, to claim the prize of $225K.
