Alexandre ‘bodyy’ Pianaro is a French professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive cyber athlete, presently competing for G2. He takes on the support role covering his allies, helping them in game when the need arises. Pianaro is the youngest intelligent player in the CS squad, who keeps calm in any situation that crops up, whilst holding the bomb sites really well, assisting his team mates.
He is the latest member to join the CS roster, impressing the esports scene with his talented in-game skills and knowledge to be one of France’s rising top players. His friends, KennyS and shox have named bodyy, the breakout player of 2017 so this is not the end that you have heard about him.
Apart from CS: GO, Pianaro has played Overwatch casually, in his spare time. He has a love for animals and loves to spend some time with his ‘doggo’ taking walks in the country, to the dog park and even to the beach, relaxing in a warm summer day.
Where it all began:
When Alexandre was about seven, his father introduced him to Adibou, a series of educational computer games. At the time, his parents allowed him to play thirty minutes in the weekend while also studying for school exams.
Bodyy began his pro gaming career practising CS: GO in 2013 with the team, PRANA. He acquired more knowledge and fighting abilities moving on to play for TopGun, Maxisaucisse, Platinum-Servers and Team LDLC.com White.
The Team:
G2 Esports is a Spanish gaming club that was founded by Carlos ‘ocelote’ Rodriguez in November 2013. The company have several teams that train and compete in League of Legends, CS: GO, Hearthstone, Smash and Vainglory.
G2 Esports CS: GO roster was created in February 2015, starting out with the former players of ESC Gaming. Since then G2 have gone through different roster changes to achieve better results in events. The current CS roster consists of Shox as Captain, bodyy, NBK-, KennyS and apex to take their gaming skills to new heights.
Competition Participation:
G2 have recently participated in the PGL Major Krakow 2017, ESL One: Cologne, DreamHack Tours as well as in Austin, Eleague Major 2017 and many other esports tournaments. Bodyy and his team G2 have acquired the gaming experience competing against top teams like Fnatic, Navi, Faze Clan, Gambit, SK Gaming, Optic, NiP and Mousesports.
Watching replays of past tournaments, G2 have learnt and improved on their CS strategies, keeping tricks up their sleeve for unexpected victories in tournaments that have surprised esports fans around the world.
Winnings:
The biggest tournament win for Alexandre and his team G2 was at the Esports Championship Series Season 1 Finals. The squad beat Luminosity of an unbeatable score 2-0, taking home the title and their highest prize of an amazing $250K.
Their second great achievement was much more recent, G2 competed in ESL Pro League Season 5 Finals. The CS: GO unit took the championship beating top team, North with the record 3-1 to win a reward of a staggering $225K.
